Bit of time this week and thought I would paint the upstairs landing brightening up the coving and glossing the doors. Can't be too hard I thought. Well bar not looking into preparation properly (idiot), and not being the most patient with such things (idiot), I can definitely say that I am not very good at DIY. Pathetically useless in fact. From crashing a ladder down on one toe, to another on the other foot within seconds, or crashing it into my shins, to paint on the carpet and on me despite my best efforts not to, gloss not sticking properly (I know why now!) and walking around with masking tape or newspaper stuck to my feet, it has been an absolute disaster and I still have one door left to go! I am not clumsy generally but I can categorically say that it must have looked like Laurel & Hardy or Frank Spencer attempting DIY. Amazing isn't it how many times you brush past a door or a door frame during a day isn't it? Never notice unless the bloody thing is wet with paint!
So what are you fellow WHO'ers absolutely terrible at to the extent that it really isn't even worth you trying?!

I'm a fair cook, but my 'knife skills' (chopping, slicing, boning, etc) are abysmal. I'm forever cutting myself. And burning myself on the oven, come to think of it.
I'm rubbish at photography, which infuriates me.
I'm crap at working out what people mean by their facial expressions and body language. The thing about your facial expressions: to me it just looks like churning, undulating waves and twitches of flesh. I can't decode it. I can't 'read between the lines' regarding what people are saying. I communicate much better in writing than I do face to face because the physical presence of people jams my radar and scrambles my brain. So much to take in, regarding your smells, noises and movements. I have Asperger syndrome, so there's loads of stuff about communication, interaction and socialising that baffles and stresses me.
I can't kick or throw a ball straight, either.

Dancing, Swimming, or anything that needs specific timed physical co-ordination.
I've given up trying to learn the front crawl; I just end up swallowing half the pool.
My Mrs has asked me to stop trying to dance when I'm at any event with her....

To be fair 95% of people who post on social media are, they don't know the first thing about 'photography' it's just that they post something and their mates say "Ooh thats amazing" and voila everyone thinks they're a photographer.
So keep at it! :)
